Stephen A Beall, LDO opened Beall Optical in 1980 with a vision of bringing the latest optical technology to his hometown area and offering quality eye care to residents. Steve is continually updating the frame and lens offerings in materials and designs in response to ever-changing patient demands.
Our optometrist, Deborah F. McDonald, OD is also from the local area. She graduated from Valdosta High School as an honor graduate. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Valdosta State College and attended The University of Alabama at Birmingham to obtain her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Public health degrees. After starting in Columbus, GA, in 1984, she returned to Valdosta in 1989. She is a provider with most insurance companies including Medicare and Medicaid. She recently completed 17 years of service to the SHAPP clinic serving the hypertensive and diabetic patients through the Lowndes County Health Department. She is a charter member of Azalea City Quota Club.
We have three full time staff members and two part time staff members that complete our team. They can answer any insurance questions, make appointments, order supplies and help make frame and lens selections that will best fit your lifestyle.
